Who we are
The Shandal Geological Field Survey System (“Shandal”, “we”) is operated from Baghdad, Iraq by its founder, Ali Shandal Falah Al-Janabi. Contact: alishandal12@gmail.com.
What we collect
Account details: your name and the access code issued with your subscription, and a random identifier stored on your device to keep you signed in.
Location: only when you use a tool that needs it, such as GPS capture or the seismic evaluation. We do not record your location when you sign in.
Survey inputs: the values you enter are processed in your browser to produce results and reports.
Questions to the AI assistant are sent to our server and to the AI provider to generate an answer.
Services we rely on
To deliver maps and data, your browser contacts third-party services directly: weather, air-quality and elevation data services, map-tile providers, the British Geological Survey, USGS, NASA EONET, Cloudflare and Google. Each processes your request under its own privacy policy.
What we never do
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your survey data for advertising.
How long we keep data
Account details are kept while your subscription is active and for up to twelve months after it ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data at any time by writing to us. We reply within thirty days.
